THE GOLD STORY

You are in a cabin in the woods on a peaceful vacation. It is a warm day and you decide to take a walk into the mountains... <img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e5/Cisy09%28js%29.jpg?20121213193621"> [[Go to the mountains]] (set: $haskey to "no")

You start walking along a trail that winds higher and higher into the mountains. Soon you see a waterfall appear in the distance. You can see a tall cloud of water and as you approach it gets very loud. You get closer and notice the water turns into gold when it hits the surface. You can see gold at the bottom of the pool, but you can't hold your breath for long enough to reach it. You climb out to think about how to get the gold. [[Consider your options]]

You try scooping the gold with both hands, but it trickles through your fingers. You're going to have to think more about this [[Consider your options]]

You take a breather and look around. You notice a circle of hawthorn in the distance that look intriguing. [[Walk to the circle]]

On the left, underneath the biggest tree, you notice a rusty old safe half-buried in the ground. On your right there is a shiny object hanging off a small tree, glinting in the sun and the wind hits it. [[Go to the safe]] [[Go to the shiny object]]

As you get close to the waterfall, you hear voices. There are 3 friends swimming in the pool, trying to dive for the gold. They look friendly, but you're not sure if you should admit to having a gold pan. [[hang back and wait for them to leave]] [[offer to work together to pan for gold]]

You walk towards the pool, and practice the greeting you could use to introduce yourself [['I am here to make us all rich!']] [['Hi, want some help?]] [['Out of the way fools, I'm in charge']]

(set: $friendly to 1) The three friends look up as you should your greeting. They're pretty sceptical of your greeting, but they introduce themselves and you show them the gold pan you found. They ask where you came from [['I'm on vacation, I walked from a cabin over there']] [['None of your business']]

You all work together and before long you have a big pile of gold glinting on a rock. You divide it between you, and arrange to meet up tomorrow. End
